Akatu Institute: For Conscious Consuming in Brazil.
“More Cars, Less Clean Air. More Is Less.”
To mark World Car Free Day, the Akatu Institute for Conscious Consuming launched artistic intervention in São Paulo’s largest park.
The installation, titled “Inflatable Car”, filled the green space with oversized inflatable vehicle.
Visual metaphor challenged people to reflect on the paradox of modern life: more cars mean less clean air, more noise, less well-being.
By occupying a public space typically associated with relaxation and nature, the intervention created an immediate and visceral contrast between consumer habits and environmental impact.
